Leonidas Christopoulos
Leonidas Christopoulos is a political scientist and a graduate of the National School of Public Administration with an expertise on public administration reform issues. He has worked in various Ministries, both as a civil servant and as advisor to the Ministers of Education & Religious Affairs, Development & Competitiveness, Finance and Administrative Reform & E-Government.
He has managed or participated in significant reform projects such as the reorganization of the Greek Central Administration and Greece’s Tax and Customs Administration, the modernization of the public financial management system, the reform of HR policies for the Greek civil service and the improvement of the regulatory environment for businesses through the reduction of administrative burdens and the liberalization of regulated professions.
Mr. Christopoulos has co-authored the book Overregulation and Bad Regulation in Greece: a plan for a better and more efficient State (Dianeosis Publications) and has published several articles on regulatory and public administration reforms and.
He is currently senior policy advisor to the President of the Hellenic Major Opposition Party, New Democracy, on issues of State and Public Administration Reform.
