Georgios Hatzitheofanous
Born in Xanthi in 1962, he graduated from the Military School in 1984 with the rank of Second Lieutenant. He served, among others, as staff officer in NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Greece (NRDC - GR), Commander of the Greek Force of Kosovo (2009 - 2011) and Section Head of the Joint Operations and Exercises section of the Hellenic Supreme Joint War College in Thessaloniki.
As aforementioned, he graduated not only from the Hellenic Army Military Academy, but also from the Hellenic War College, the National Defense School and the Economic School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He holds Certificate from the Project Management Institute of USA (PMP/PMI), Adult Trainer from the National Hellenic Center of Public Administration and Local Government and Certificate in Organization and Management of Health Units from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
He is a lecturer of Grand Strategy at the Command and General Staff College, as well as an Instructor in Strategy and Operational Planning, Project Management and HR Management at the National Hellenic Center of Public Administration and Local Government.
Author of the book "National Strategy: Proposal for a New Institutional Framework" and the collective volume titled "Greece and Albania: Anger in the Future or Return to the Past", he has also written articles in many printed and electronic media (Foreign Affairs, Hellas Journal, and others). Lastly, he is the Vice President of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Alumni Association.
