Kostas A. Lavdas is Professor of European Politics at Panteion University, Athens. He was educated in Greece, the UK and the USA and has taught and researched at various universities and research centers, including The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, MIT, The London School of Economics, the University of Manchester and the University of Crete, where he served as Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Personnel. He has published extensively in English, German, and Greek on European politics, comparative public policy, and republican political theory. Among his publications are eight books (including The Europeanization of Greece, Macmillan 1997) and many chapters in edited volumes (including Citizenship and Multiculturalism in Western Liberal Democracies, Rowman & Littlefield 2017), and international refereed journals (including European Journal of Political Research, West European Politics, Journal of Political and Military Sociology, Politics).
