Lina is a journalist.

Born and raised in Athens while studying journalism she got her first work assignment at Telecity channel, one that lasted from 1990 to 1994, giving her a first taste of hands - on reporting. After that she got a post as a journalist-host of a news-related program at Antenna TV station, where she was employed from 1994- 1998. Her next position was for Mega channel, where she worked as a newsreader from 1998-2018. She holds her current position at Open Channel, where she is responsible for the presentation of the early afternoon news program.

She has been awarded an award for the Equality of sexes by the Botsi Institute, relating to her work in the promotion of gender equality in managerial and executive positions. 

She lives and works in Athens and has a young son.
