Pavlos Eleftheriadis is Professor of Public Law and a Fellow of Mansfield College at the University of Oxford. He specialises in constitutional law, European Union law and philosophy of law. He is the author of Legal Rights (Oxford University Press, 2008) and numerous articles in public law, European Union law and jurisprudence. He is the co-editor (with Julie Dickson) of the collection of essays The Philosophical Foundations of European Union Law (Oxford University Press, 2012). He is also a barrister in England and Wales and practises before the English courts in various areas of public law and human rights from Francis Taylor Building in the Temple. Some of his recent cases involved challenging the Brexit process on constitutional grounds, including a challenge to the legitimacy of the EU referendum on account of the violation of electoral law by the ‘Leave’ campaigns. He regularly blogs and writes for the press on European, constitutional and legal issues both in the United Kingdom and Greece.
