He is an entrepreneur. He serves on several company boards in Greece and abroad (IMERYS S.A., ASK Chemicals GmbH, Lamda Development S.A.).

He is serving also on the boards of foundations and non-for-profit organizations (IOBE-Foundation for Economic & Industrial Research, AFI-Action Finance Initiative, American College of Greece and College Year in Athens). He is Member of the Trilateral Commission.

He also served as Chairman of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV), Chairman of the Greek National Opera and Chairman of the Foundation for Economic & Industrial Research. Vice President of BusinessEurope (ex UNICE) and of the Hellenic Exchanges Holdings S.A. Member of the General Council of the Bank of Greece.

He has received the Kouros Award of Entrepreneurship by the President of the Hellenic Republic and the Grand Commander of the Order of Merit by the President of the Republic of Portugal. He was twice recognized among Europe’s 500 Dynamic Entrepreneurs.
