Vassilis Kontozamanis is a Health Care Policy and Management Expert. Vassilis has built on a double experience. Firstly, in managing the pharmaceutical sector in Greece: as Vice President and President of the Greek National Organisation for Medicines (EOF) and as member of the Management Board of the European Medicines Agency (EMA). Secondly, in managing the health care system, as Chief Executive Officer of the 1st Regional Health Authority (Attica) and as Secretary General of the Ministry of Health. 

He has also held the post of Research Manager of the Health Economics Observatory/ Foundation for Economics and Industrial Research (IOBE) and has been a Research Associate of the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies (hosted by WHO). He has a Master’s degree in Health Care Policy and Management, an MBA and a Bachelor in Mathematics.

Today, he consults on health policy, pharmaceutical regulation, new business development and management of healthcare organizations to international clients seeking to gain a strong understanding of the Greek and the international healthcare environment.
